Broadcast – Black Session, Paris (5/4/2000)

I’ve been obsessed with this live recording for about a month now. Broadcast is one of my favorite bands, but I hadn’t checked out any of their live recordings. I was thrilled when Aquarium Drunkard (one of my favorite music blogs on the planet) posted a piece on this recording. It’s a mesmerizing example of just how great Broadcast were. It saddens me that I have to say ‘were’, but I’m grateful they were able to make so much beautiful music during their much too brief tenure. RIP Trish Keenan.
